The car beside the house. Plenty of Ladner homes have one: an older car parked along the side of the driveway that was going to be fixed “one of these weekends.” If that weekend never came, it can go. Tell Jay how much room there is between the car and the fence, and whether anything is parked in front of it.
The truck out on the farm. On the rural properties toward East Ladner and Holly or out on Westham Island, an old pickup can sit behind a barn for a decade. Soft ground, long lanes and gates are all workable; Jay just needs to know about them before he heads out.
The car stuck at the mechanic. Sometimes the shop calls with a repair estimate that’s more than the car is worth. Instead of paying to get it home, you can ask Jay about buying it where it sits. Let the shop know someone is coming and confirm who will hand over the keys.
The estate or the house move. Clearing out a parent’s home or getting ready to sell often turns up a vehicle nobody wants to deal with. If you’re handling it for someone else, mention that when you call so you can sort out the authority to sell before pickup.
These are typical situations people call about, not descriptions of specific jobs.
