Scrap Car Removal in Tsawwassen, BC

That old car taking up space doesn't have to stay there. Call with the year, make and model and we'll tell you whether we can buy it, what we can offer and how pickup works. No need to arrange a test drive for a car you're selling for scrap.

Old Japanese cars and SUVs we buy

From older Toyota Corollas and RAV4s to Honda Civics, CR-Vs, Nissan Sentras, Mazda3s and Subaru Foresters, we buy unwanted vehicles for recycling. Lexus models come up too. The offer depends on the specific vehicle and whether it's complete, not on a generic price list.

What if it no longer starts?

A car that ran when parked may not start months or years later. That isn't a surprise to someone who has spent decades around vehicles. Tell us what you know and whether major parts are missing; we handle transportation by tow truck.

Tsawwassen neighbourhood pickups

We arrange pickups across Tsawwassen's neighbourhoods, and the practical details — access, where the vehicle sits, whether it rolls — are confirmed on the call before anything is booked. English Bluff and other hillside streets are part of the same conversation: describe the location and we'll tell you honestly what works.

Know the offer before we load

Payment is settled before the vehicle goes on the truck. Normal deterioration — a mouldy interior, a car that no longer starts after years of sitting — is not an automatic reason to reduce the offer. What can change things is undisclosed missing major parts: if the vehicle was described as complete and significant components are gone, the offer may be revisited. Tell us what you know upfront.

Questions before you book

Who handles my Tsawwassen pickup?

Jay personally serves Tsawwassen, including Beach Grove, Boundary Bay and Pebble Hill, as well as Ladner. The useful starting point is the exact location of the vehicle, not just the neighbourhood name. Tell him whether it is in a driveway, carport or shared lot, what condition it is in and whether major parts are missing. Pickup timing is confirmed around access and availability; it is not a guaranteed same-day service.

Can I sell an older Toyota, Honda, Lexus or other SUV?

Yes, eligible unwanted cars and SUVs are bought for recycling, including older Japanese makes such as Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Nissan, Mazda and Subaru. Pickups and minivans can also be considered. An offer is specific to the vehicle’s make, model and completeness, rather than a published price range. Have the year handy if you know it, and disclose missing significant components so the offer is based on the vehicle you actually have.

Do I need to work out why it stopped starting?

No. A mechanical diagnosis is not necessary to ask Jay for an offer. Explain what you know: when it last moved, whether it starts now, whether the wheels roll and whether parts have been removed. A car that no longer starts after years parked, or has a mouldy interior, does not by itself justify reducing the quote at arrival. Undisclosed missing major parts or wheels are a different matter.

Is collection from Tsawwassen included in the offer?

Free standard towing applies to eligible complete vehicles purchased for recycling. Ask Jay to confirm that it applies to your pickup, along with the agreed offer. The truck needs a workable approach and loading position. Blocked access, soft ground or difficult recovery can change the towing assessment and may involve a separate cost. Describe these conditions before booking; a neighbourhood being served does not make every recovery a standard tow.

What paperwork is needed if a relative meets the truck?

Have registration or proof of ownership and valid authorization ready for the sale. A relative can meet Jay, pass over keys and open access, but cannot sell the vehicle without the owner’s authority and proper paperwork. Explain who owns the car and who will be there before a time is agreed. If anything about the documents is unclear, discuss it in advance instead of assuming that possession of the keys is enough.

Can a vehicle with expired insurance or missing keys be collected?

Expired road insurance is okay for towing a purchased vehicle because it travels on an insured tow truck, rather than being driven on the road. Missing keys need a separate access conversation: tell Jay if doors are locked, the steering will not turn or the car is stuck in park. Locate keys if you can, but do not try to start or drive an unsafe car just to make collection seem easier.

What should I do before a Beach Grove or Pebble Hill pickup?

Empty the car’s storage spaces and check under seats for belongings. Set aside ownership documents, authorization and keys if available. Remove plates if possible without injury; Jay has tools and can help with stubborn screws, though success is not assured for every bolt. Clear movable items from the route to the vehicle and explain any clearance or turning restrictions. These details help plan loading without making assumptions about your property.

When am I paid, and what happens afterward?

Jay checks the vehicle and legal seller, settles payment before loading, then secures the vehicle on the tow truck. Keep your plates and sale paperwork afterward. Speak with an ICBC Autoplan broker about cancelling or transferring insurance and the registration obligations that apply to you. Collection itself should not be treated as confirmation that those matters have been completed. The offer, towing terms and pickup arrangements can all be discussed by phone.
